What makes a photograph? This question will have different meanings to different people. To one person a photograph can be like a painting, with a focal point which draws your attention straight away. To another person, it can be a split-second capture of what they are seeing at that particular moment - saved for posterity. Either way, photography can be a beautiful thing and often overlooked.
This website has been set up for me to share my photographs with you. You can even buy prints of my photos in various formats.
I am a 54 year old enthusiastic photographer, who in past times has indulged in sports photography and record sleeves (for minor labels); but I have now settled on landscapes as my preferred subject. Although I now live in Cornwall, a beautiful County to photograph at any time, I try to travel as much as possible. Scotland is one of my favourite places to photograph but I can not always find the time to spend there.
A lot of the shots on this site were taken at dawn or dusk, since this is when the best light is to be had.
Please re-visit my site on a regular basis as it will be updated with new pictures quite often.
I hope you enjoy the pictures.
